Ink Stains

Does anyone know anything that will take ink off of vinyl? Or know a web resource with tips? I was spending time with Felicity and noticed a small mark on her hand that was not there before. It won't come off with soap and water, so I think it might be ink or marker... [img]frown.gif[/img]

Any solutions?

Try acne cream with peroxide. Put it on the area and leave the doll under a lamp for a while. This is a trick that lots of people have tried and it's worked. Good luck!

Would hairspray or rubbing alcohol work?

Not usually--if the ink has soaked in, it won't come off with alcohol.

Oxy10 lotion (or a similar housebrand) works, because it contains a bleach which bleaches out the ink, and because vinyl is colored throughout, it won't harm the color in the doll's vinyl.

Just cover the ink stain with the lotion, and place the doll under a desk lamp for a few hours (the heat and light activate the bleach)--then wipe off with a damp cloth. If the stain isn't completely gone, just repeat until it is. Severe stains can take a few days, but I've never known this method to fail. [img]smile.gif[/img]
